Episode 61 of the PDR Marketing Minute Podcast introduces us to proper positioning in terms of pricing in the market. According to Gene, there are three positions you can find yourself – the Low End, the Middle, and the High-End.
The middle is, by far, the worst place to be. If customers are looking for cheap repair, they will choose the low-end rather than the middle to save some extra money. The same goes for the high-end where customers are looking for quality repair and don’t mind spending money. If you do find yourself in the middle, get out as fast as possible. Gene follows up by stating that the low-end is the second worst place to be because it is always replaceable. He gives us the example of how KMART used to rule the value shopping sector until Walmart came along and did everything cheaper. Walmart was then replaced by Amazon.com who is currently killing the low price retail market.
The only position you should be at is the high-end. To get there, you will need to market your business and yourself properly. It is at the high-end market where customer start trusting your services and become loyal to what you offer. When you are at the high-end, you will not only make a lot more money, but you will also notice that you won’t have to work as hard. Plus, with all the extra income, you can invest back into your business and grow even more.
Gene ends the podcast by directing listeners to PDRMarketingMinute.com where they can sign up to his email list and get his Review System. That will help them get more reviews from customers through Facebook, Yelp, and Google.
