This week on PDR Marketing Minute, Gene Fetty discusses his checklist for the Basic Marketing Needs. In week 1, he spoke about creating a website while week 2 was all about a Google My Business listing. This week, week 3, Gene talks about having a Facebook page for your business. It is vital to have a Facebook page because everyone is on it including potential clients and customers.

Gene advises that you should have a Facebook business page and not a personal account. To set up a business page, you should get to Pages on Facebook and create one for your business. It is also important to remember to choose Local Business in the Category section of the page setup. When it comes to posting on Facebook, Gene advises listeners to be active. He says the minimum amount of posts should be nothing less than 1 a month. Ideally, Gene says 3-4 posts a week will ensure your page will receive a good amount of reviews. He also says that you should not be posting more than 1 post a day, unless it is something special.

Next, Gene moves on to the cover picture section which should have a graphically pleasing image. The business logo and phone number should also be placed there. One of the most important things to do is to add a Call to Action button to your page so that customers can contact you immediately. Your name, phone number, and address should be consistent through all your social media pages as well as your Google My Business listing.
