Episode 8

By PDRMarketingMinute / November 2, 2016

This week, Gene talks about the “Don’ts” when it comes to asking for reviews. The number one rule that shouldn’t be broken is that you should not ask your customer to leave a review from your own device. They shouldn’t even be using your Wi-Fi when leaving a review. Since Google, Yelp, and other websites have algorithms setup that detect your IP address, they will block any reviews that show up from the same network.

Another thing you want to avoid is trading reviews which is basically a number of different businesses exchanging reviews. Google notices this and reduces and removes the reviews. Trying to get paid reviews will get customers thinking and will more often than not lead to a decline in business. Finally, Gene advises listeners not to get reviews from their family members. Reviews left by people with similar names will be spotted by Google quite easily.

Gene then talks about how his Review System is only a week away and how it will help you get great reviews right away. Sign up with your name and email address at PDRMarketingMinute.com and you will receive it once it’s ready.
