Let’s talk Google Adwords Part 2 of our 4 part series on online advertising.
We finally get to the big episode 100 and it’s a special one.
Today, we are going to get into Google AdWords or Google advertising and find out what it’s all about.
Google ads are basically the text ads you find at the very top of any Google search. It can be found above the search results or map listings. People would almost always skip those ads on account of them being paid results but with Google becoming more intuitive and delivering precise results, people trust Google to give them exactly what they are looking for. Despite having great SEO and a top-spot listing, Google AdWords will ensure that you not only stay up there, but also get better business.
The ads can be as simple as a one line heading with links that direct people to your website landing page. Now, you can even take up more space and add links that will take a person to different pages of your website like the reviews or FAQ.
Also, Google now allows you to get another listing within the Google Maps listing. This means with a single and, you can essentially have a couple of listings on Google’s front page. What this does is it gives you more real estate on the page and because people will only find you if they search for a service you provide, you need to get noticed.
You can create a free Google AdWords account at AdWords.Google.com. It is better to stay away from talking to Google’s AdWord specialists because it can eventually become quite expensive.
