Batching your content.
We enter the final stretch of the daily podcast that leads up to MTE 2020.
Today, we are going to talk about a technique that is called Batching which helps you manage your content, videos, and blog posts so that you don’t have to do it on a daily basis. For example, I am actually recording the last 9 episodes of the show a day, every day, today.
The biggest advantage of that is that you can be super productive like that. Once you’ve set-up and have all your notes and equipment out, you can just race through all your work in a single sitting. Once I have recorded all the episodes and uploaded them, I can schedule them on my website to drop every day at a certain time. In fact, you can customize your content to drop anytime you want on any day.
Whether you have 5 posts or 15, you can schedule them according and with the magic of technology, they will drop on your website. It works in the same way on Facebook – create a post on your page and schedule them to the day and time on when you would like them to drop. In the same way, you can create batches of videos and schedule them to pop up on your channel as and when you want them to. And the best part is that you don’t even need a special software to make it happen.
For me, it has been 32 days back-to-back with episodes and this technique has helped a lot. Even though I was on the road, I didn’t have to take my equipment with me and set-up on the road. I just set it and forget it and technology does the rest.
