Episode 6

This week on the PDR Marketing Minute, Gene completes the checklist which began in the very first episode. He discusses the importance of reviews and goes on to compare them to modern day word-of-mouth advertising. Since the whole world has gone online, people have started trusting reviews before making any decision.

Gene says that once you start a review system for your business, you will see a noticeable change in the customers that come to you. A customer who approaches you through a review would have already done his research and would trust your work whereas a customer who doesn’t know about you will not completely trust you. As an example, Gene talks about a customer who found him through a review and gave him a signed blank check because he already trusted him.

He then goes on to describe the four places where he think you should be getting reviews for your business. The number one place is the Google My Business listing where people can learn more about your business. The second place is Yelp, which happens to be a little more difficult to get reviews. Facebook is the third place because of its popularity. Lastly, Gene says you should be getting reviews on PDRNation.com because it is not only simple to setup and use, it helps you market your business better.

Gene ends the episode by saying that the upcoming episodes will teach you strategies on  how to get and use reviews. He says that they definitely work and should be implemented into your business.
